A tit-for-tat cyber battle has broken out between "hacktivist" supporters of recently-arrested WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange and three corporations that have extra-judicially found him guilty: EveryDNS, PayPal and PostFinance.
As of this posting, the denial of service attacks have slowed down both PayPal and the Swiss bank's websites and it appears that the EveryDNS website has been shut down entirely. Retaliatory attacks against the hacktivists are underway to stop WikiLeaks' cyber defenders, operating under the codename Operation Payback, from continuing their DoS attacks.
Updates from Operation Payback can be found on Twitter.
